Hello everyone,
So I was following the installation guide for mybb. I uploaded the files to my site and then done as the installation guide said by removing some code from some sql file.

After I done all that it said I went on to the next step and it said go to the site with the /forum/install/ on the end of the web address. So after doing that it puts me on a whitepage like it isn't loading and the web address is 'http://redirect.main-hosting.com/error404.php/26?forum.piratesgate.eu' the sub-domain I am using is forum.piratesgate.eu and the forum software is uploaded to the forum(subdomain) folder.

If anyone is able to help me with this i'd be very grateful.
Thanks,
Ben
Unless you're running MySQL 4 you don't need to edit any files.

Your forum loads fine for me: http://forum.piratesgate.eu/
When I load it i get the MyBB Internal Error telling me that the board is not configured or installed. The installation guide told me to put /forum/install on the end of my domain but that just redirects me to the blank website I put in my first post. Also as you said about the SQL not needing to be edited unless it was running MySQL 4. According to the host I am running MySQL 5 so I put a new version of the file i edited in.

That was only an example. Your forum is located at forum.piratesgate.eu so you need to go to forum.piratesgate.eu/install/
Ohhh. Thank you for you help Smile I'm now installing it.
