MyBB/ Coppermine Third Party Mod

This is a general question: Why isn't there a bulletin board wide photo album plugin? The default setting of the albums would of course be accessible only to members. Follow that link and you can see where they boast integration of user management with various BBS (like SMF, phpBB, YaBB SE, Invisionboard, vbulletin). We have a platform as good as if not better than some of those mentioned, so why are we NOT included? Is there some other 3rd party image gallery that I’m unaware of that people here are using?

There is a MyBB bridge already and I have fully integrated CPG into MyBB for several sites.
