Hi, this plugin has been updated. Although
tests were made only on MyBB 1.8.36 and PHP 8.2 the plugin
should work with any MyBB 1.8 release and up from PHP7.0+
It was a big rewrite and most of the code was reviewed. The issue mentioned above was fixed too.
https://github.com/OUGC-Network/OUGC-Sho.../issues/15
A new setting to allow portal filtering by forum was added too. Implementation or usage of this feature should be made manually by administrators, otherwise just kept disabled.
Update should be as easy as replacing the old files, deactivating and activating back the plugin.
After updating you should review your settings and plugin templates as these were updated and you will need to configure them both again.

No sensitive (thread) data should be affected.

greetings
Once the plugin is activated, if I go to the site, I get a blank page. Has this problem happened to anyone else?
I found this error for the blank screen.
Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class "ougc\ShowInPortal\Hooks\Forum\MybbStuff_MyAlerts_AlertFormatterManager" not found in /web/htdocs/www.selleck87.it/home/inc/plugins/ougc/ShowInPortal/Hooks/Forum.php:50 Stack trace: #0 /web/htdocs/www.selleck87.it/home/inc/class_plugins.php(142): ougc\ShowInPortal\Hooks\Forum\global_start() #1 /web/htdocs/www.selleck87.it/home/global.php(100): pluginSystem->run_hooks() #2 /web/htdocs/www.selleck87.it/home/index.php(18): require_once('...') #3 {main} thrown in /web/htdocs/www.selleck87.it/home/inc/plugins/ougc/ShowInPortal/Hooks/Forum.php on line 50
Show In Portal 1.8.37 has been released.
- Improves compatibility and jumps MyAlerts requirement to 2.1.0
@SELLECK87 Maybe the error you report above is gone, you would need to try again.
I just tried the plugin with the update and the portal remains completely empty and there is no “show in portal” in the posts. I added the template variations. Solutions?
By default, the portal would go empty, so you have to select the threads to be shown in the portal first thing after installing.
You can create a custom moderation tool to mass mark threads to be shown in the portal.
Regards.
I tried the tool but the thread keeps not showing up in the portal. More than anything else I don't understand why adding in the templates the string <!--OUGC_SHOWINPORTAL--> as described in the tutorial doesn't show up in my posts.

Try again using the files from the repository (just replace the old files).

Me neither, it works in my default (for test) installation.
