When you point out a persons "grammatical errors", sometimes they get offended Sad , upset, angry, maybe they even call you rude names, example "Grammar Nazi".

But spelling correctly is very important, in EVERY LANGUAGE.
Commonly misused grammar. ( simple everyday words )
1: Their, there, they're , all sound similar, all has different meaning.
2: "Then" in place of "than" ( and vice versa )
3: Your, you're.
4: Dear, deer, dare.

Some places it's not a big deal, an intelligent person will decipher and figure out what the person meant.

Code/core file/searching
When writing codes/scripts, spelling is VERY important; For when a person is doing a "search" in the script (maybe for editing or adding a plugin), the person doing the searching won't find the "text" (or item) if the original author has spelled the "word"/name incorrectly.

Same goes for the NAMES or Themes and mods.
It's VERY important to spell the names correctly.
When mods and themes names are not spelled correctly, a person seeking information can't easily find the theme/mod and thus making that person create a new (DUPLICATED) thread asking for the item.

Please name your mods and themes with correctly spelled words, also, moderators of sites, you are the second line of defense, spelling errors should not pass you before APPROVING a mod/item, it's called "quality control".

2 examples of items that did not show in search due to incorrect spelling.

http://mods.mybb.com/view/user-profile-premission ( if a person searched for PERMISSION)

http://mods.mybb.com/view/error-profile-baned (when a person searches for BANNED)

Thought about this today, as I went to purchase some items on Ebay, and didn't find many in my original search because, some authors didn't have the correct spelling of the items in their description, guess what ? those with incorrect spelling lost the sale(s). I was directed to the items with incorrect spelling, by members of another forum I frequent, that they came across.

*PS: There's an APP to fix that: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.msc1
I'm sorry but I have to do this xD

When mods and themes names are not spelled correctly, a person seeking information can't easily find the theme/mod and thus make that person create a new (DUPLICATED) thread asking for the item. In this case I would suggest "and thus make" or "thus making", but certainly not "and thus making"

Please name your mods and themes with correctly spelled words, also, moderators of sites, you are the second line of defense, spelling errors should not pass you before APPROVING a mod/item, it's called "quality control". The number of commas in that first line is unnecessary. None of those clauses work as a standalone sentence, so should not be connected via commas.

Damn, beat me to the punch lol
I hope this thread did not offend anyone. Toungue

This community has members from across the world that speaks many different languages, and some may be using a translator to write names/titles for mods/themes, etc., and many times those translators aren't correct (translate.google.com) in giving the proper spelling. So it's understandable to see misspelled words.

So it's up to the community to inform, and point out the proper spelling/translation.

Carry on.
