Is there a way to link the calender to a posting or discussion.

What I would like to have is that a entry in the calender generates a posting in a forum or even strats a new discussion.
Or maybe there's a way to show a posting (or a reference to a posting) in the calender upon entering a posting.

I've search the board but can't find anything.
There isn't currently a feature in MyBB which would allow this. This would only be possible through the use of a plugin or code modification.
The Calendar entries support MyCode, so you could always use the url tag? HTH.
Okay thanks for the tip but I'm not familiar with MyCode and HTH.
A quick search on the web doesn't give me a clear answer.
Is it possible to direct me to a howto or a manual?

Thanks
The only way to do this without a plugin or modification is to create a new thread manually and then link to it in your calendar event using the MyCode [url] tags.

If you need help with MyCode tags, see this document in the help section: http://community.mybboard.net/misc.php?a...help&hid=7.
Thanks, got it now.

Make an entry at a particular date and just link to it like
[url=http://community.mybboard.net/calendar.php?action=dayview&year=2007&month=1&day=1]Happy New Year![/url]
Happy New Year!
Just for your reference, the also Wiki has a list of the MyCodes with examples. [Wiki: MyCode] (Broken link, head over to docs.mybb.com instead)

Cheers,
HTH is internet slang for "Hope This Helps"
Thanks guys, learned a lot tonight and expanded my internet-vocabulary.
Also altered the title of this discussion so that the next one in need of MyCode info knows where (s)he has to go!
