Is it possible to require a new registrant to have X posts in Forum Category Y before they can access the rest of the forum?

this plugin, which is a bit old, but I think it still works.
I've looked through all of these options, what I actually want is to require 5 threads be created in forumid=50 for example, before the member can be promoted to a regular member.
