So i am trying to integrate just the forum categories into a php file that i have... Is it possible?

Of course it is possible.. index.php is a php file and it already contains category php..

Well, I cant understand what you are trying to do.

If you mean, creating a clone of your main forum page, Just copy index.php somewhere & rename it to forums.php & it will be the clone of your main forum page
