I was curious. Do you syndicate your forum?

I eliminated it long ago for fear of people duplicating my content easily, but I'm rethinking this strategy and wondering if it's even a legit concern if only excerpts are syndicated (??).

I may have eliminated tons of traffic by not syndicating over the last year or so. What do you think and what do you do?

-- Also, how to set a character limit? I took a brief look in ACP but could find no settings, and took a look at syndication.php but only see # of threads to syndicate. Nothing about character count.

With Google's algorithm updates with hummingbird, panda, and pigeon... I don't think it's a good idea to allow others to rehash your content even if they pay you. The best thing is people writing original content about your posts. Which acts like a recommendation. Otherwise... don't bother imo.
