How do I stop MyBB sending emails for anything that isn't an activation email? I want to completely remove the option/ability of having email subscriptions because I use mandrill and tbh that's just a waste of money and easily exploited.
Still need assistance on this, or alternative methods of sending mail.

First remove that field in the template. It should be in one of the usercp templates. Then you'll also want to run a query to set pmnotify to 0 in the mybb_users table.

Aren't emails sent automatically for threads anyways (default setting is subscribe to them?)
yeah, i do think that automatic subscriptions apply by default, if that's correct do I need to adjust that too?
Still looking for a definite solution to this.
