my forum was hosted in my friend's account and we had a falling out - he disabled my cpanel access and unassigned my domain from his account...

but before that i was able to make a backup of my forum from the cpanel and database (SQL) as well... i wasnt able to disable my plugins though...

i now have my own account, problem is i dont know how to upload/restore my backups... ive read the topics here but i dont know how to go about it...

i hope someone here has the patience to help me restore my forum, thanks so much to that person with a kind soul!

Basically, upload the files to your host and then upload the database. Change the setting for the database within the config file located at /inc/config.php? I'm not too sure because I'm remembering it vaguely, and that should be about it, nothing special is required.
