Welcome to the forum. It looks like you made the move over to MyBB successfully. I do have two plugins I'd recommend for you to use. The first is Google SEO which rewrites urls to be search engine friendly. The other is Registration Security Question which forces a member to answer a question correctly or the registration will fail.
