Hi all,

I am using MyBB Version 1.6.13 - no plugins and the default theme.

I have created my first forum; however, the forum description which is input via the admin cp does not show on the forum index page. I have tried deleting it and re-creating it but to no avail.

I have created a few forum and it is missing on all of them.

Any suggestions on what I might be missing?

The theme you're using probably removed the code for descriptions in the templates. Can you provide a link so we can further follow up?

Thank you for the reply. The theme I am using is the default theme that was installed. I have not made any modifications to the default installation / theme at all.

It is currently on an internal test server at the minute or i would.

strange thing to happen on a fresh install using a default theme... however please check in Templates >> Forum bit templates >> forumbit_depth1_cat to see whether the following piece of code is there

<div class="smalltext">{$forum['description']}</div>

Make sure you have Forum Descriptions enabled.

Admin CP->Settings->Forum Home Options
