I have created a theme with a friend of mine, however due to a few errors I didn't feel like fixing, my "powered by" was improvised a little. It's not using an a href, rather it uses CSS and JavaScript to redirect the user to MyBB once clicked.
It is gray (bright enough to see), and then turns to the selected colour when hovered over.
On the JavaScript side, it uses location.href when clicked.
I am sure it does, however I want to be a bit more assured that it is allowed.
