could someone tell me how i can keep the theme i currently have installed because i like it but have the banner spread across the top of it.

At the moment it is at the top left hand side and i want it straight across

Just increase the size of the image...if you want to center the logo add this to your theme in additional css.

.logo {text-align:center}
