What normally forum looking like in thread area is this

and I want to see like this, picture should be left and message in right side, it should not waste area as you we can see first pic.

I edited second pic in photoshop, so that I can tell you more clearly that what I want to ask.
please help. I am just about to complete basics of forum needs

ACP -> Configuration -> Show Thread Options -> Post Layout

change it from Display posts using the horizontal post layout to Display posts using the classic layout

Not working. I have checked more than 5 times by saving settings again again.

classic layout is not affecting thread view even inches. help me

There is also an option in your User-CP.
