The new theme goes a long way to updating the look of the forum. There is one thing, however, that is keeping it tied to the old look. That is the side-by-side columns for thread/posts and replies/views. To bring it into a contemporary look these should be displayed in an over-under format that fits within one cell/column. This will give a much more streamlined look.
