Hello,

Selective quote is the fastest and easiest way to quote whole post of a part of it.

This link may explain it better:

It is very useful feature because we can easily choose which part of the user's post we want to quote. What do you think?

I like this feature... But better plugin IMO.

one problem this plugin only work with default editor of 1.6.
Not work with plugin Sceditor and not work with Mybb 1.8 that use Sceditor and Jquery.

I already tried to convert the jscript (prototype to jquery) to make it work with SCEditor but i don't gotten success...

Hi,
i think this is not necessary.
user can easily delete additional text in editor

What about this: https://forum.mybboard.pl/watek-mybb-cyt...-1-5_21782 ?
It works the same way but quotes without mycode formatting.

That's right, but what if someone want to quote a small part of a post with lots of quotes?
Better as a plugin. Many people(including me) highlight parts of the text while reading. That'd totally break the page's functionality imho.

I don't really understand. You can deselect highlighted text by clicking anywhere on the page.

It looks like there is a small chance to see this feature in the core but I hope someone could manage to add this to the new editor. Would be great!

Convert to jQuery is not a problem because we can edit the js file.

But Is it really necessary?

not to core...
i tried to my forum in mybb 1.6 to converted this to sceditor...
because i used this in default editor of mybb 1.6...
I think this should be a forum standard (it is on all of the modern designed bulletin boards). Should be in Mybb 2.0.
