I'd like to see if it is possible or if someone could make a plugin that is a bit more enhanced view of recent posts.
What I am envisioning is a section above the forums that displays 3 boxes horizontally with a snip-it of the postings. Then would scroll right for past recent postings, up to X amount of pages, 3 postings on each page. Snip-its should also be simplified, and not display any mycode.
A row on the bottom, below the message that shows avatar and username on the left, and time of posting on the right
A user should also only see recent postings from threads that (s)he can only view.
Admin Options
How many past postings to display? (Admin option here would affect how many pages would be displayed. Default would be 15, displaying 5 pages.)
