Hi I'm after the ability to have all users on my forum be defaulted to receiving an email whenever there is a new post in any thread or forum.
This is for an invitation-only forum for 100-200 scientists, with relatively small traffic.
I'd like to set up a user account for a list of invited people and I want them all to receive an email for every new post (or even a daily digest email).
I'd like to maintain the ability for them to manually turn email notifications off though.
I can't find a current plugin that does this. I did find these:

but sounds like user set, rather than admin default setting.

but it only does the checkboxes, not the "Default thread subscription mode" - which I think is what I want to be able to set by default.
Just below where I am typing this there is a THREAD SUBSCRIPTION checkbox:
Subscribe and receive email notification of new replies
I want that on even for posts where the user has not done a post them selves.
