Hi, many people have a different aspect ratio for their avatars, some are portrait, landscape, square, etc.
Is there any chance for adding an avatar crop feature so all of them can be square? At least, to make them square on the forum's postbit, and the full avatar only visible on the user's profile page?
you mean a crop option need to be provided to the user during the upload...
because Show Thread Options, Profile Options and Member List options in ACP allows admins to set the Maximum Avatar Dimensions....

Yes, a crop option needed right after the avatar is uploaded, to ensure that all avatars are square.
Maximum avatar dimensions are only the maximum. If the Maximum Avatar Dimensions are for example, 100x100, then a user could have his avatar at 80x100 or 100x50 and it will still work. But I would like them to all be cropped square, and the same size.
It would be great if MyBB could have this avatar cropping feature too.
Or, Like XenForo has on it's forum. Throughout the site, everyone's avatar is cropped square, but clicking on a person's profile will show the full avatar uncropped.

This would be cool but we're limiting new features since any introduced before Beta 3 will not receive as extensive testing as those implemented earlier.
