Go to: ACP > Configurations > Thread Prefixes > Add New Thread Prefix (if you have not created any)

and enter the Display Style as something like this....

<span style="display: inline-block; padding: 2px; border-radius: 3px; background: #AEFF8E; color: #ffffff; text-transform: uppercase;">Important </span>

I do not mean Thread Prefix
