I am Inafix.
I recently requested a solution to two problems on this Forum and I believe that solutions have been given, but I am unable to say for sure as I can't try them out.

This is the reason:

My MyBB forum has suddenly become all but unusable ?
It is throwing up the error message server too busy come back later. I wish my board was that busy but it is nothing like it. My web host has looked into it and said that the problem is with the MyBB software in some way, as they are getting this error message ....

PHP Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 1835008) (tried to allocate 8960 bytes) in /home/

Does anybody have any idea what is going on ?
What plugins are you running and does disabling all plugins help?
Edit: delayed post !

can you disable all the plugins and check if the issue persists ..

I will get back to you and let you know what happens.
Many thanks to both of you.
If I interpret it correctly... sorry, MyBB won't work with a 2MB memory limit.
Are you using free servers?

Ps: 1.6.11 is not a safe upgrade, newest is 1.6. [As of 7-11-14]
No I am not using free servers, and my web hosts are good with good customer service. They are looking into things again for the Nth time.

I had thought of updating to the latest version but suppose I suddenly lose access half way through ? My biggest worry is losing all of the posts, attachments, and members details. What is the best safeguard against that ?
^ you can take backup of the database and the files through the web host panel
