I would like to see a blog feature or mod for the admin to use.

The "Portal" can be used as a blog.

Go to http://www.yoursite.com/ {Forum Directory} /portal.php

This is a forum soft, not a everything-in-one-package-bloated-software.

You could always make a new forum and only let the Administrators view which is near enough to a blog.

As DrPoodle said, the closest to a blog is to use the portal.

How do I use the portal?

http://yoursite.com/yourforum/portal.php You can edits it's settings in the settings manager

you can also use mportal which works as a normal blog would, http://www.mkportal.it/
