Hi there, are there any methods to prevent mybb theme ripping?
Or ways to make it harder/slower, or ineffective...

No, there is no real way to prevent it or slow it down, anything that's on the web can be ripped, you can send DMCA's, but a lot of the time it isn't worth the time.

There is nothing stopping people from replicating a theme, especially if they're just using the colors. You can file a DMCA complaint if they steal your images and don't give you credit, but it's more of a hassle than it is helpful, especially if there is no clear copyright notice that ties it to you as the author of the image.
