Hi everyone, new to MyBB

I have setup a Private Forum Area, anytime a guest or someone without permissions tried to access the private forums it takes them to a page that says:

"Sorry but there are currently no threads in this forum with the specified date and time limiting options."

If you try and click the private forums here you will see that image above.

When guests or those not authorized to view the private forums I want it to take them to the page that says:

Not logged in or authorized to view this area" Like in the example below:

When the guest clicks on the Private Forum it should take them to something that looks like the example above or as seen in the screenshot

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Chris
Sounds like a simple permission fix.

Admin CP -> Forums & Posts -> Find the forum you wish to hide and select Permissions from its options box -> Click Set Custom Permissions for Guests group -> Uncheck the Can view forum? permission box and save.

Thanks Starpaul20 I appreciate the help but that is not the problem. I don't want to hide the entire forum from guests, just when they click on it, it should take them to a page that says:

"Not logged in or authorized to view this area" (Like in the example belowSmile

In that case, you'll need to change a setting.

Admin CP -> Configuration -> Forum Home Options -> Find the setting Hide Private Forums? and set to no.

You'll still need to the permission fix I mentioned above if you want the error message to show.
