I'm not sure if it's a bug, so I'll give you all details regarding this issues:
- server: localhost
- MyBB version: 1.8 Beta 3 (1.7.2)
- Apache: 2.4.9 (Win32)
- PHP: 5.5.14
- MySQL: 5.6.19
- Browser: Firefox 30.0
After a fresh (default) install:
- don't make any changes in AdminCP or in "htaccess.txt" file
- rename "htaccess.txt" to ".htaccess"
- go to "http://localhost/forum-2.html" or click on "My Forum" (forumdisplay.php?fid=2)
- select from "Forum Jump" menu: "Forum Home"
The result will be:
"NOT FOUND:
The request URL /forum--1.html was not found on this server."
Same behavior for "Private Messages", "User Control Panel", "Who's Online" and "Search".
Can anyone confirm if it's a bug? Thank you.

L.E.: this is happen only if "search engine friendly URLs" option is "Enabled" or if is set to "Automatic Detection", in AdminCP (Server and Optimization Options).
