Perhaps an option to state a cookieless domain for static content? It's not really feasible to do it right now without either messing around with locations (nginx wise) or editing core MyBB. It could be done much easier.
Better SEO friendly URLs would be nice too.
Possibly the ability to support
http://gtmetrix.com/parallelize-download...names.html
and holy moly
combine some of them css files
Content that doesn't change you can use .htaccess to cache.
Sample Code:
## EXPIRES CACHING ##
<IfModule mod_expires.c>
ExpiresActive On
ExpiresByType image/jpg "access 1 week"
ExpiresByType image/jpeg "access 1 week"
ExpiresByType image/gif "access 1 week"
ExpiresByType image/png "access 1 week"
ExpiresByType text/css "access 1 week"
ExpiresByType text/html "access 1 week"
ExpiresByType text/x-javascript "access 1 week"
ExpiresByType image/x-icon "access 1 year"
ExpiresByType image/xcf "access 1 week"
</IfModule>
## EXPIRES CACHING ##
I would like to see CSS files combined.
I use nginx, location ... (ico|png|jpeg|gif...){expiry:7d} does it for me, but that's not what I meant.
A cookieless domain for static content is like the purpose of gstatic.com, saves a few bytes for each static resource, in the long run this is a massive savings for both yourself and page load too (if you have a big enough site, or simply a lot of images, I'm a bit of both).
1.8 already has CDN support so you can serve static content from a separate domain.
