Hi guys,

My forum has recently started to have a serious issue. I've just upgraded to 1.6.14 but before that, users would start to log in as someone else.

This has also affected my account and i am being logged in as a random user.

Any help?

Still an issue.

Never had it before where users are logging in as other users and my forum has been online for a few years now.

Anyone? This is quite seriously impacting my community.

Hard to guess from the details given.
Are you consistently being thrown into a different user, or does this user randomly change on each page visit? Do you ever get thrown back to a guest user? If browsing as guest, do you randomly appear to be logged in?
What happens when you explicitly log out? Have you tried clearing browser cookies to see what happens?
Also look at all cookies that your site sends - does the mybbuser cookie change whilst browsing the site whilst logged in?

It was occurring on the home page only...everyone was consistently a different user (from their own account). I for example, was an unactivated user.

This only occurred on the home page, other pages were fine.

This appears to have fixed itself, but im a little worried as it was affecting all users at the same time, then no users at the same time...
