MyBB Community Forums

Hi All,
I've been admin for my forum for some time using Admin CP only!!
I started with a new host (Bluehost) and before I move everything over I want to be able to start fresh with a new copy of MyBB and play around with it and get comfortable doing a little more than what's available in Admin CP. Maybe than I could merge my forum.
What do I need to get started.
I had downloaded the following:
MyBB, XAMPP, and filezilla. I've installed all except MyBB because I not sure what to do first.
Please help (don't beat me up too much lol )

If you still decided to go the paid route to evaluate the admin area then check if they have an automatic script installer such as Softaculous as you can install MyBB with a couple clicks. BTW, if I try the "free MyBB demo" will auto cancel after the 30 days or do I have to do some leg work to have it cancelled ?
