We use mybb as the user database for our site and it's been working out really well so far.

The next big thing we're trying to work on is adding a comment system to our main cms (one we created), so folks can leave comments on videos.

Does anyone know of a plugin that exists that would, basically, allow us to have the comment system setup to pull the user info from the mybb database?

We've done it with the who is online info, recent posts and polls but other than that not much else.

I'm confused as to what you mean. What exactly do you need pulled from the MyBB database, and how are you intending on integrating it with the CMS?

We want people with accounts in the mybb database to be able to leave comments on pages that aren't part of that database.

A simple comment and reply system.

Kind of like YouTube had a few years back.

No ideas at all?

How does your CMS works? Is it a MyBB plugin (guessing it doesn't).
