i have hosted mybb on a free hosting server

I have heard that free hosts can delete your site anytime and you lose all your posts and threads.
Is there anyway i can save my board and put it on another hosting provider
If your on createmybb I believe you will have to ask them for a backup/transfer and pay for it.
Well, surg, I would recommend you back up your database (if you have access to it) and make copies of your folders on their server (again, if you have access to them). That way, you should be able to change hosts and then restore your backups to the new host. Do you use FTP to access your files?
Use phpMyAdmin (or cPanel if your host has it) to backup the database.
[Wiki: Database_Backup] (Broken link, head over to docs.mybb.com instead). Then download all the files from your web server. Burn them all onto a CD and you have yourself a good backup
