Is there a plugin or some setting that would allow me to remove or add tabs at the top of my forum, ?

I would specifically like to remove the calendar tab at the top of my forum, and possibly ad some tab in the future that links to something else.

Those aren't tabs, those are just plain old links. You can edit them in Templates -> Header Templates -> Header.
