I don't know if it is possible (it was a problem also in Mybb 1.6), but when you read a thread as a guest and then login because you want to reply or another, why go back to the index of the forum? you can not return to the topic that you were reading?

This has already been fixed: https://github.com/mybb/mybb/pull/1220 and works for me in localhost without any problem. Please use the latest code to report bugs: https://github.com/mybb/mybb/archive/feature.zip Marking as duplicate.
