I notice more nested quotes than usual, and fewer merged messages. Now, I could be mistaken, you could have simply turned them off, or it could be a problem with 1.8. Just thought I'd mention this.

As for nested quotes, in the past did you set a control to limit this? And if so, is that turned off now for no apparent reason?
Nested quotes limit has a setting yes, since 1.6 IIRC. PMs have one too in 1.8. And the setting value should remain during upgrades.
Yes, I know that. I was not asking if such a setting exists. I was asking if it's working here at mybb.com. Because it 1. doesn't appear to be or 2. my recollection of how many nested quotes you allow is wrong.
