I have a need to upload files up to and possible including 8 megs available for download as an attachment. Is there a way to have the max file size be 8 megs along with max post size?

Or is this controlled by the server side?

The maximum file size for uploads of this attachment type in Kilobytes (1 MB = 1024 KB)

Please ensure the maximum file size is below the smallest of the following PHP limits:
Upload Max File Size: 4M
Max Post Size: 8M

basically it is controlled by server side. if your forum is on shared server then contact your web host

as .m. told you , you can contact your web host to inscrease it , i really did that before in my old host and it worked , but you can also Go to "SQL" Section , wich is just pasting the SQL Codes in it and submitting it , it will automatically create the tables

Thanks, I have contacted the hosting provider to see if they will increase to match both at 8 megs
