I just installed myBB 1.6.15 to my server in order to test it out as a replacement to my current forums. But when I am in the forums just after the install is complete, I cannot access any threads that are there. Instead, I get this error:

I have no plugins, or anything of that nature. This is a virgin install. I even went so far as to remove mod_security from my server. No Joy. I followed the instructions for chmod-ing the appropriate files/folders prior to install.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
My server configuration is a VPN running:
MyBB Version 1.6.15
PHP Version 5.5.16
MySQL 5.5.37
I also have our main forum using phpBB3 in a separate directory.
Just a note, I can access everything when I install myBB on my laptop under XAMPP. So I am not sure what the difference is.
After much trial and error, I found that my root .htaccess file contains something that is blocking the MyBB forums from displaying the forum threads. If I remove the file altogether, myBB works just fine. Now to debug the .htaccess file and find the culprit.
Have you figured out the issue yet? If not, you could post the contents of your .htaccess file and we can help you identify the problem.

bump. anyone have a chance to look at the .htaccess file?
I discovered that the only issue is when I try to go from the main forum listing to see sub-forums (and the execution of the script forumdisplay.php). I can use the PM system, profile editing, and even view a thread after listing the threads a user posted in.

I gave it a shot, and it didn't work.
I removed the section between the #BEGIN All In One WP Security and #END All In One WP Security and it works now. I had this WP plugin a while ago, and then removed it. I am not sure as to why this code was still there, nor do I know exactly what it does (save denying access due to certain commands, etc). For now I guess I will leave it out and see if can modify it later so as to be able to add it back in.
If anyone can see what the issue with that section is, i would greatly appreciate it.
