Running 1.6.14. In the last couple of days the new post attachments are not displaying. I have found that if I insert the attachment into post twice ....or if i prefix it with a character  e.g. a period or slash like this:
.[attachment=xxxx]
then it works ..and all the other missing ones in other posts display.  Have optimised db, did a recount/rebuild. Still happening.
Has anyone got any idea where to look.

Have now upgraded to 1.6.15 still no joy.

I am guessing you should use a plugin called fit to page. And then they may display correctly.

As far as I know that works for attachments

Already running 'Fit on Page' plugin. It's not that.

FWIW I discovered the problem.
We run a 'Test Forum' on the server as well as the main one.
Both use the same db.. Somehow some of the links from the Main Forum got confused with the Test one.
For example the Main Banner link took you to the 'test' main page. Likewise with user cp etc..
Result was that some of the posts/attachments were being posted via the 'test' forum. 
When solved all it took was an 'update attachment' in the offending posts.
