Hi,

My host ran some maintenance (so they say) and now all my PHP pages are blank. They referred the issue to their systems department but I thought I would ask if anyone my have an idea why this is happening.

Is there anything in your server error logs? If you have cPanel, they're usually accessible from there.

Odd, usually the cause for a blank page is a PHP error, but if nothing is logged something else is going on.

Well,


That led me to check the error log for mybb and this was there:


Quote:PHP Fatal error:  Call-time pass-by-reference has been removed in /home/phoenixu/public_html/board/inc/plugins/A2detector.php on line 141


That was the problem I think. And why it suddenly happened when the host did maintenance is odd.

Sounds like the host went from PHP < 5.3 to a more recent version. Call time pass by reference was removed in PHP 5.3. It's good they've finally updated.
