When I upgraded to the new 1.8, I noticed that I now have a blank space image between the links in my nav menu. When I checked the code, it added a second html link to the image.

Ex http://myforum.com/http://myforum.com/images/spacer.gif

I've looked through everything and I cannot see how to fix it.

Also, I was using image icons in place of text links for posting new threads and editing and whatnot and now they've all reverted back to text links. Can't see where to fix that either.

I don't understand what you're asking first,  For all the post buttons just revert them back to default using images (may have to style them again)

Templates > your theme > Post Bit Templates

And just revert these templates back to default

postbit_multiquote
postbit_pm
postbit_purgespammer
postbit_quickdelete
postbit_quickrestore
postbit_quote

And then go to Templates > your theme > Forum Display Templates

Also  Templates > your theme > Show Thread Templates

the link for my spacer.gif image looks like this: http://apiratesliferp.com/http://apirate...spacer.gif <-there are 2 http items in the image link when there should only be one.

I was using image links for the "edit", "website", "edit", "reply", etc etc etc. Now these images were working perfectly fine when I was using myBB 1.6. When I did the upgrade to 1.8, the .css was changed so that now I'm seeing text links instead of image links and I have no clue how to return them back to image links.

Templates > Find updated templates > diff report

Probably far easier and quicker if you make a new theme and copy the css from your current theme and add it in the correct places in your new theme seeing as your theme is just basic color changes

Yeah, after I royally screwed something up I just decided to go ahead and re-do the entire thing. A longer process for sure, but it's working so far. Thanks for the help.

My logo is fine, it's supposed to be that size. I'm on the road to recovery as far as getting my theme back to the way I had it.

But I have a different issue. Somewhere in my css code, the margin for the links to MyBB Group and MyBB have somehow shifted over to the right, nearly blending in with the date/time status.

I've been looking around for nearly 5 hours and can't see where to fix that.

Guys: i've just updated to mybb 1.8, tried 1point8 theme. It works, but i've noticed that in "welcome back" bar where should be an icon, there's an f something. For the lightning icon by instance, there's an f0e7, mod, f0e3, etc. For reputation, warning level, send email, edit message, same deal. Looks that or i've uploaded the images to the wrong place or something is broken. An sample of the problem is this:


Another issue that i've noticed is that some things come from translations, some things are printed by the template. This is easily fixable, but i'm really missing something with those icons. Please, what i'm doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

Never mind, i've figured the issue already: it was an browser issue. Firefox 31 and Chrome 37 had an issue that created the problem. After check a few things, i've searched for another sites that choose this same template, all them with the same issue. A couple of hours after that, firefox asked for an update and after this, it worked fine again. Quick reply seems not to be working, but also seems some sort of browser issue.
