I've upgraded to MyBB 1.8 and everything works well, except for one thing: the plugins.

When I go the the plugin manager and press 'Deactivate' for example it does say: "The selected plugin has been deactivated successfully."


But in fact it doesn't deactive. The same problem occurs when trying to Activate a plugin or Install it.

What could be the problem? File check has been done which was fine.

have you deactivated the plugins before upgrading ?
many of earlier plugins are not compatible with MyBB 1.8 though plugins coding methodology has not changed

I have not deactivated the plugins, aargh.

Is there any way to do it manually now?

I've resolved this by rebuilding all the cache
