As you can see, it works just fine here (also on my test forum). Any steps to reproduce? What's your board url? Provide a testing account with access to attachments. Moving to support until someone else confirms.

well i had other editors working on my forum
i dis activated them and now the issue is solved.
i think the issue was with the editor while changing themes so i m using the simple editor that comes with mybb1.8 which is quite good

I want to insert an attachment ID to another post. Is it possible?

well u can copy paste that photo and put it on other post
but if u just copy paste the attachment number , that won't come so open the photo and simple copy paste to your post , that for sure will come
