Hello,

We've just installed myBB and are exploring the Subscription and Email options. We love that you can subscribe to threads and receive emails when new topics/replies are posted.

Question - is it possible (perhaps via plugin) to reply directly to a notification email and have the email reply be posted in the myBB thread? We found a plugin from 2005 that stated it would do this, but it didn't seem to work.

I think that there is not any such MyBB default function or any other plugin for 1.8 now.

Thanks folks. Just to clarify, we don't want users to create new posts via email (we want users to search first), just reply via email. So you'd reply to the subscription notification email. Is that possible?

^ IIRC, such facility is not available. And IMO, it is not easily possible
you may have to use news groups (Google Groups / Yahoo Groups ..)
