Dear All ,

During the past I had one forum with vbulletin v3.6 .
2 years ago I stopped this community(forum) and at the moment I have no software , I have only the database (sql)
We want now , to re-start the forum with mybb but we want also to upload the old database.
Is this possible ?
Please let me know

Thanks in Advance,

Theo
Yes, it'll be possible. You'd need to import the database dump to your DB server, then run MyBB's merge system. You may need to use the 1.6 merge system then upgrade to MyBB 1.8 as it looks like vb3 support was dropped with 1.8: http://docs.mybb.com/1.8/merge/
Dear Cameron ,
thank you very much for your answer .

I already download the merge system 1.6.14 but is not working anymore.
Merge system 1.8 is working but as you said vb3 support was dropped .

Even that how is possible to merge a database without software to mybb ?

Thank you again Smile
We only need the information in the database. Maybe you'll loose the attachments (not sure, vb4 saves them in the database).
BTW: old modules are available in the merge support forum. If you could send me your database I'd fix the vb3 module and readd it in 1.8.1
