I installed the new mybb yesterday but I don't have the same theme as this forum? I got the old mybb theme

The new default theme is the same theme as what is found on this forum, yes. (They did make a few modifications for this forum, but the theme will be easily recognizable. )

If you upgraded from 1.6, the old default theme may still exist, but the new default will be available. If you installed from scratch and the 1.6.x default theme appears, you probably downloaded the wrong package.
