Ideas - just ideas.

At thread level:

1. Show tags in thread listview under the title of the thread.
   

At post level.

1. Autolink all words in posts that are also tags to the tag-page.
   
2. Make it possible to link specific words in posts that are not tags to internal or external urls. If they are tags make it possible to "take over" these tags and redirect them to the URL anyways.
   

EDIT: SORRY - this is already implemented. Just didnt see it - it was in the bottom. Thank you. At forum level:

1. Group tags by forums and make forum specific tag-clouds and show them in forum display.
   

At global, index and permanent level:

1. Keyword or tag-alert. Make it possible to have something like googles keyword-alert - for both keywords and tags. Users can register certain watch-words they can be informed about - by PM, email or alert or whatever is easiest.
   

Generally:

1. Integrate it into a chat - so words that are also tags are linked - when a good one comes along - for example the shoutbox by DVZ - http://community.mybb.com/thread-156080.html

there is this feature in this plugin. you can use comma or "Enter" for Separate tags
