After looking at you forum I think the 404 error is not normal because I see you have a plugin called popular tags that works the correct way when you click on a tag it brings you to threads with the same tag. So I think somehow I installed my plugin wrong or something. 

how s this thing work? is the search or grouping working with the tags?

2 question!

1) I want the tags to be hide in topic just like the setting it has for index or forum display! how to do that !
2) hiding tags for index forums and topic does it still help my board in google searches ?

it works but the functions are limited, it pre tags with your thread title name which is a pain, and not fixes!

if i remove the {$tags} form showthread dose it still work to help search engines ?

yes.

your alpha version doesnt allow adding new tags appart from the thread name/title

how can we add thread pefix in tags ?
