Yeah, the first page is the portal, the rest seems like just the normal forum. It's pretty much all theme based modifications. Just look for some theme tutorials or have a play and see what happens.
This is basicaly a lot of templating... I had a modification for 1.x version, however you can use its concept to add boxes whether to the right or to the left of your main forums on the index page... Again with template modification for those new boxes you can have them as ONE unified box with whatever content you want in them.
again i repeat.. it is a lot of templates modification that will have to deal with the header alot but it can be done with some effort from you.. and help from us when you mix up.
