Before I start hacking away at the core files, is there currently a plugin to disable specific bbcode/mycode in specific categories/forums?

I'd like to turn off the img tag, a custom mycode, and a few other things for one of my categories.

ACP->Forums & Posts>Click on the forum you wish to disable them. Go to the settings tab and expand the settings.

Thanks, that takes care of the images and videos, do you have any suggestions for custom mycode? I don't want to disable everything in the category, only a select few.

You will find MyBB Codes under confg settings in left menu

It is not possible to disable custom MyCodes but allow core ones in certain forums. You will need a plugin for that. None exists as far as I know.
