Hi guys,

I'm trying to recover a forum I used to have "computerhelpforum.be". The host failed and so my website went offline.. but anways..

I imported the database in phpmyadmin that I saved, and upladed all files, changed settings.php, config.php to my database info.

However, I'm still getting no images, and links still display my old URL 'computerhelpforum.be/..."

URL: http://computerhelpforum.heliohost.org/index.php

cookie domain should be .computerhelpforum.heliohost.org
first change cookie domain in settings.php file then again at the General Configuration settings of admin panel

Board URL should be http://computerhelpforum.heliohost.org (do not include /index.php)

I changed cookie domain and board url.

However, I cannot acces admin panel like this, and I also see my board is offline, maybe that has something to do with it aswell.

does front end login work normal ? are you able to navigate around forum without any issues ?
you may have to clear your browser cookies & cache or try using another web browser

Ok I could log in with an admin account. I can acces the admin panel now and changed what u said.
I cleared all my browser cookies/cache,..

The forum links "works", I can navigate.
All browsers show the same.
I changed theme to default. This one displays most of the things. So I guess there is something wrong with the themes?


Edit: I thought my backup was way closer to what it acutally was.
I will not continue the backup. Thanks for your help though, .m.

I will probably start fresh with 1.8!
