I would like to suggest a trackback-plugin so I could comment on blogs when posting a new thread - and at the same time let the blog know that I have commented. Could be pingback or another way.

Example: Commenting on a blog on wordpress.com from my forum and letting the blog know it is being discussed at my forum.
